PA CareerLink® offers a variety of Career Development Services geared to helping individuals succeed in the workplace –
including job search assistance, workshops, orientation, resource room usage, recruitment events, training grants and more.

By creating an account in PA CareerLink®, you will have the ability to:

  • Develop multiple on-line resumes.
  • View job openings — our site features an average of 16,000 open positions each month.
  • Apply for jobs online — you can even use our site to research a company’s business profile before you apply.
  • Access information, including government resources, Labor Market Information and business reference materials.
  • Customize or create a “Personal Folder”, which manages your job search by storing multiple resumes and tracks positions for which you have applied.
  • Track your job search for the Unemployment Compensation Work Search requirements.

PA CareerLink® partners with local employers to offer job seekers the opportunity to connect with employers through many of our single or multi-employer recruitment events.

PA CareerLink® also works with several partners including West Chester University and the CCIU Early Learning Center on an annual basis to offer much larger scale job fair events. Customers are encouraged to check our calendar on the PA CareerLink Website or pick up a monthly calendar in our office for information on upcoming hiring events.

Our self-service Career Resource Center (CRC) is open to the public for in-person activities and is equipped with tools that will aid you in your job search. We have 14 internet accessible computers available that customers can access for job search, applying for Unemployment Compensation, writing resumes and cover letters, researching labor market information and for performing any other work search-related activity. The Resource Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to. 4:30 pm and is FREE to the public.

New to PA CareerLink? Need to know more about the partners and the services available to you? Attending one of our Orientations will provide you a thorough overview of the programs and services offered by our Partners, including information on workshops, training opportunities and other workforce development financial stability center related programs.

Orientations are held both on Tuesdays and Thursdays can be attended in-person or virtually via Zoom. To register for one of our Orientations, visit our calendar on the PA CareerLink website for the next available session.

Training Grants are available for those who are in need of upgrading their skills if their skills are no longer in demand.

Grant awards are provided up to $4,000 for individuals seeking training that leads to a certification or credential with the goal of securing full-time employment in a high-priority occupation.

Individuals must meet federal eligibility and suitability requirements in order to be considered for the program.

Chester County residents have access to a multitude of different workshop opportunities that are both personal and professional development related

Workshops are FREE of charge and do not require any eligibility requirements. Most workshops are offered through a hybrid model – allowing job seekers to attend either in-person or virtually through ZOOM.

Choose from any of our workforce development workshops, such as: Resume Revival, Successful Networking, Overcoming the Age Barrier, LinkedIn 101, Job Search Strategies for Veterans, How to Use Recruiters and several of the Technology Training Demonstration sessions such as MS Word, Excel, Access, How to Use Zoom, etc.

Need Help Navigating Your Way? Our partnership with the United Way’s Financial Stability Center affords you the opportunity to connect with Service Navigators to help you clarify and connect you with the needed supportive services to help you achieve your goals.

Extensive Resources are available, including Financial Education, Benefit Enrollment, Budgeting & Coaching, Credit Counseling & Debt Management, Training & Education, Individual and Family Counseling, Free Tax Preparation Services, and other Health & Human services are just some of the services that are available.

Service Navigators will provide the professional guidance to help you develop a plan to help you successfully navigate the various programs and services.

Unemployment Compensation Information

UC claimants should be advised that PA CareerLink® is NOT the unemployment office and PA CareerLink® staff are not able to answer questions regarding UC claimants UC claims. UC Claimants can use Computer Resource Center Computers to file their UC claim and perform work search requirements. Claimants may also utilize our fax services for submitting their appeals.

For answers to questions regarding the UC application or to have their questions regarding their claims answered, claimants can:

  • Contact the toll-free # at 888-313-7284– Hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (EST)

UC Connect/In-Person Appointments

UC Connect is a statewide Pennsylvania program dedicated to helping Unemployment Compensation (UC) claimants connect with staff through in-person appointments at PA CareerLink® locations throughout the Commonwealth. With the great success of our pilot program launched in 2022, UC Connect is now an official support service of the Pennsylvania Office of Unemployment Compensation. To make an appointment, call the UC In-Person Scheduling and Log In support line at 1-855-284-8545. You will be asked to provide your name, phone number, and email address. You will receive a text or email reminder a few days before your appointment.  You can visit UC Connect for more information and to review the FAQ’s.

Skill Up PA provides job seekers access to FREE online skills training. Courses are available on the Learning Portal and can be accessed by registering for a fee account on the PA CareerLink® website.

The portal is a flexible, self-directed, web based on-line learning service that offers over 6,000 courses for job seekers to improve their skills. In addition, curriculum to obtain industry recognized credentials in areas such as: CompTIA, Cybersecurity, Project Management, Human Resources, Microsoft Office Specialist & much more is available to job seekers as well.
