If you are having difficulty with connecting with Unemployment Compensation, we recommend you try these alternatives and tips:
PA CareerLink® – Chester County has a direct dial courtesy phone where customers are automatically connected with UC. As you can imagine, the phone is in very high demand and as result customers may experience a several hour wait to use the phone. Courtesy phone/UC Call Center hours are:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
8:30 am to 4:00 pm
For those unable to wait in line, PA CareerLink – Chester County has a UC form that UC Claimants can fill out and indicate the problem(s) they are having with their claim. By completing this form, customers can request a call back to resolve their issue(s). UC will contact claimants back within 7 to 10 days. If you are interested in using this form, stop by our office.
Avoid the long lines by filing your initial UC claim on-line. Visit the UC website and select ‘File an Initial Claim’ to get started. Customers may file on-line or download a copy of the UC application to mail in. Customers are welcome to use our computers on site to file their initial claim.
As part of the UC Work Search Requirements, all UC applicants/claimants must be fully enrolled in JobGateway®. Individuals who do not complete this enrollment may delay or forfeit a portion of their UC benefits. Visit JobGateway® and select ‘Register’ to get started. Should you need assistance, we have qualified staff and computers available on location to assist you in satisfying this requirement.
